Dried silvervine leaves straight from the field!

Silvervine contains two naturally occurring oils that cats find irresistible similar how they naturally just love catnip. Many cats react to silvervine, even if they show little interest to catnip. A 2017 scientific study found 70% of cats had a reaction to catnip, however over 80% of cats had a reaction to silvervine, with many cats enjoying both!

How do I give it to my cat?

Give a small pinch of leaves to your cat. They are the safe for cats roll in, bat around the house, or even take a few nibbles of. You can also break up the leaves with your fingers then sprinkle it anywhere you want to encourage your cat to play!

What’s in the bag?

  • Each bag is packed with at least 30 grams of whole leaves which is equivalent to 2 cups.
  • The leaves are dusted with 5 grams of our finely sifted silvervine gall fruit powder.
  • A faux fur fuzzy ball toy that absorbs the scents of the leaves for your cat to play with!

How is it made?

To make our natural Silvervine Powder, we finely grind up the dried gall fruits of an ivy like plant called the Actinindia Polygama that is native to the mountains of Eastern Asia. The leaves are plucked from this very same plant.  Although relatively unknown in Northern America, the silver vine plant is more popularly used in Japan and China than traditional catnip among cat owners! There is a saying about Silvervine in Japan that goes- ““neko ni matatabi, joro ni koban” which translates to ” Silvervine is to cats as money is to a prostitute.” Simply put, cats LOVE Silvervine!
