A more potent form of our Matatabi sticks that also helps maintain healthy teeth! Packed into our Silvervine Coated Matatabi Sticks are naturally occurring essential oils that drive cats wild. The added whole silvervine gall fruits makes these even more enticing than our plain Matatabi sticks.
Give one to your cat as is and they will play, roll, rub, and have a blast!
The plant is native to the mountains Japan and China and grows like an ivy on trees and rocks. It is officially named Actinidia Polygama, but is commonly called Silver Vine for the distinctive color of its leaves.
Many cats react to Matatabi (the vine of the Silvervine plant) and the fruits of the plant even if they show little interest to catnip. A 2017 scientific study found 70% of cats had a reaction to catnip, however over 80% of cats had a reaction to silvervine, with many cats enjoying both!
While Matatabi/ Silvervine is slowly becoming more well known here in the United States, and is more popular in East Asia than traditional catnip!

My cat is picky but did not hesitate to rub this thing she really likes it. Happy with this purchase thankfully
Thought my cats would go nuts for it, however they only liked it a little bit and kind of ignore them now. Oh well.
I have ordered this three times now because my cats love it. But each time, the quality gets worse and worse. The matatabi fruits barely stay on now. A couple minutes with the cats and they fall off.
Seem to be of quality but I thought my cats would enjoy them and they didn’t show any interest. They’re not big catnip lovers either, so maybe its just who they are
My cats didn’t care for this at all ☹️
These sticks drive my cats wild! All 6 of them enjoy them! This is my second order and I’m sure I’ll be ordering more! Thanks, Meowie Janes!!!! 😻
I can tell these are pretty great. It seems like my cats are going to be getting used to them eventually. The one cat that was introduced to them first and loved it, she finally took a bite of it yesterday and proceeded to look like she was either not used to the taste or was outright trying to spit it out. My other cat that was introduced to it at a different time than the first doesn’t seem all that interested except for when the first cat plays with it and gets jealous. I just contribute his general disinterest to his aversion to catnip as well (whereas the first one, she loves catnip). Anyway overall, these are fantastic and I think they will get used to them with time. Thanks for making them!
